Subsea rock installation off Shell Bukom SBM

From 1 to 15 April, work will be carried out to install a subsea rock installation off Shell Bukom SBM.

According to the Maritime and Port Authroity of Singapore’s Port Marine Notice No.37 of 2013, the works will be conducted 24 hours daily – including Sundays & Public Holidays –  within the working Area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1) 1° 11.887’N / 103° 47.399’E
2) 1° 11.878’N / 103° 47.515’E
3) 1° 11.580’N / 103° 47.760’E
4) 1° 11.329’N / 103° 47.749’E
5) 1° 11.148’N / 103° 47.575’E
6) 1° 11.132’N / 103° 47.322’E
7) 1° 11.293’N / 103° 47.124’E
8) 1° 11.547’N / 103° 47.087’E
9) 1° 11.759’N / 103° 47.230’E

The work entails subsea Rock Installation by Fall Pipe Pontoon barge “Zinkoon 6” in place near the Shell SBM. The barge will have a circular safety working zone of 300-metre radius centred at the barge.

A safety boat will be deployed in the vicinity to warn other craft to clear of the working area.

Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
(a) keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
(b) maintain a proper lookout;
(c) proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
(d) maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 68 (West Control);
(e) Communicate with West Control on VHF Channel 68 for assistance, if required.
