Master’s and Mates Union of Greek Merchant Marine offers four (4) partial scholarships (50% of the tuition fees), for Postgraduate Studies in Shipping at ALBA Graduate Business School, to its members and their offspring. Scholarships are open for the ALBA MBA in Shipping Program or the MSc in Shipping Management program, for the academic year 2014-2015 (total cost for the ALBA MBA in Shipping Program is €19,750 while for the MSc in Shipping Management is €12,500).
The deadline for the first two scholarships expires on 31.01.2014 and results will be announced by mid-February, while for the two rest scholarships, deadline is set for 30.04.2014 and the results will be announced by the end of May. Application can be submitted online at https://applications.alba.edu.gr. Note that final selection will be made from ALBA based on a ranking of candidates and in collaboration with PEPEN.
Through a combination of academic rigor with practical knowledge, the ALBA MBA in shipping program provides students with the ability to make sound and timely decisions and to cope under pressure in the rapidly changing shipping environment. More than that, the program invests heavily in leadership and strategic management competencies, which are particularly relevant both as personal advantages and as essential resources for companies in this sector. The Program aims at currently employed working professionals with work experience of at least three years as well as in A Captains and D Engineers. The MSc in Shipping Management is designed to develop professionals equipped with the skills, knowledge and expertise required for a successful career in the demanding and highly competitive world of Shipping.
