GAC 01072014Post-monsoon increase to draft
October 21, 2014, India, Mumbai

Post monsoon, considering holding ground and average depth of 12.8 metres in (Mumbai’s) deep water anchorage, it has been decided to increase permissible draft up to 12.2 metres and maximum length 230 metres, previous conditions will remain in force.

Master of the vessel will:

1. Maintain strict anchor water.

2. Maintain continuous watch on VHF Ch.12.

3. NOt allow more than two arges alongside the vessel.

Further, agent of the vessel has to provide Letter of Indemnity in the p[rescribed format on a stamp paper of Rs. 200/- for a vessel with a draft of more than 11.5 metres.

Republic Day holiday
October 21, 2014, Turkey, all ports

Official institutions and banks in Turkey will be closed for the Replublic Day public holiday on Wednesday 29 October.

All arrangements for crew, spare, provision, etc. should be made/advised in good time ahead of the holiday.

Some ports may be closed on Republic Day and the charge for official services such as pilotage, mooring, customs, etc. will be increased by 50%. Vessel owners and operators are therefore urged to check with GAC Turkey prior calling any Turkish Port. GAC Istanbul will be on duty during the holiday.
