The working period for reclamation at Pulau Tekong has been extended. The work will now be carried out from 10 January to 10 July.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No. 03 of 2015, the works will be conducted 24 hours daily – including Sundays & Public Holidays – within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):

Reclamation work will involve dredging, construction of revetment, soil investigation and soil improvement work.

Soil improvement work will entail stabilized dredging, sand piling and deep cement mixing. The dredgers will be used for the bund construction withinthe working area.

Safety boats will be in attendance at all times to warn and re-direct craft in the vicinity to keep clear of working area.

Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:

a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;

b) Maintain a proper lookout;

c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;

d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 21 (Sembawang Control);

and

e) Communicate with Sembawang Control on VHF Channel 21 for assistance, if required.
