Vessels wishing to transit the Kiel Canal continue to face delays, with current waiting times of 12 hours at Kiel-Holtenau and Brunsbuttel for ships with LOA over 125m and/or draft greater than 6, 50m.

Submarine inspection in Dangerous Goods Anchorage
January 12, 2015, Hong Kong, Hong Kong

From 12 January and for approximately one week, submarine outfall inspection works will be carried out [in the Western Dangerous Goods Anchorage] within the area bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (D):-

(A) 22 deg. 18.978’N / 114 deg. 07.297’E

(B) 22 deg. 18.948’N / 114 deg. 07.330’E

(C) 22 deg. 18.453’N / 114 deg. 06.805’E

(D) 22 deg. 18.484’N / 114 deg. 06.771’E

The works will be carried out by a work boat. One guard boat will provide assistance.

A working area of approximately 25 metres around the work boat will be established. The hours of work will be from 0800 to 1700 hours. Vessels engaged in the works will not stay in the works area outside the hours of work.

Diving operations will be carried out from time to time during the hours of work.

Vessels engaged in the operations will display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations.

Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution and keep clear at slow speed, bearing in mind there are divers working in the area.

Construction of Cycle Parking Area
January 12, 2015, Hong Kong, Hong Kong

For approximately 4 months, marine works involving construction of cycle parking area will be carried out (near Yung Shue Wan Ferry Pier, Lamma Island) within the area bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (E) and the adjacent shoreline:

(A) 22 deg. 13.622’N / 114 deg. 06.584’E

(B) 22 deg. 13.615’N / 114 deg. 06.590’E

(C) 22 deg. 13.602’N / 114 deg. 06.564’E

(D) 22 deg. 13.614’N / 114 deg. 06.557’E

(E) 22 deg. 13.621’N / 114 deg. 06.570’E

The works will be conducted by one flat top barge. Two hopper barges and two tug boats will provide assistance. The number of vessels engaged in the works will change from time to time to suit operational requirements.

A working area of approximately 30 metres around the barge will be established. Yellow marker buoys fitted with yellow flashing lights will be laid to mark the positions of the anchors extending from the barge.

The hours of work will be from 0800 to 1800 hours. No works will be carried out on Sundays and Public Holidays. Vessels engaged in the works will stay in the works area outside the hours of work.

Vessels engaged in the works will display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations.

Change to 2015 port tariff

Some changes have been made to the tariff for charges at Turkish Ports in 2015, as follows:

SANITARY DUES

sanitary dues for port calls have been increased to 0.85 TL from 0.80 TL to all commercial vessels (excluding yatch, investivation, education, etc) with NRT over 50 starting from 01.01.2015.

Calculation method.

NRT X 0.85 TL / daily USD rate

Example

NRT 10000 X 0.85 TL / 2.3170 daiy USD rate = 3, 668.54 USD

HARBOUR MASTER DUES

Harbour Master Dues for port calls have been increased as follows:

From 11 – upto 150 NRT : 15, 45 USD (34 TL)

From 151 – upto 500 NRT : 27, 15 USD (57, 60 TL)

From 501 – upto 3000 NRT : 51, 13 USD (117, 10 TL)

Over 3000 NRT : 63, 88 USD (146, 30 TL)

MARITIME CHAMBER DUES

Maritime Chamber Dues for port calls have been increased as follows:

From GRT 5001 – GRT 10000 : 227 USD (520 TL)

From GRT 10001 – GRT 25000 : 224.54 USD (560 TL)

Over GRT 25001 : 262 USD (600 TL)

CONTRIBUTION TO MARITIME CHAMBER DUES

The Contribution to Maritime Chamber Dues for port calls have been increased as follows:

Cargo from 0 to 20000 Mts : 550 USD

Cargo from 20001 to 40000 : 800 USD

Cargo from 40001 to 60000 : 1050 USD

Cargo from 60001 to 100000 : 1300 USD

Cargo from 100001 and over : 1650 USD
