In the current economic climate, decisions to invest in preventative and protective technology to be installed on equipment, either at the specification stage or retrospectively can be extremely challenging. However, consider the value of certain capital assets coupled with the potential costs associated with business interruption and reputational damage, especially where bodily injury or loss of life may be concerned and the relatively modest investment quickly becomes an economically viable solution.
