The issue of Ports is paramount not just for Greece and its hundreds islands, but for the entire European Union. The new technological advancements, size and propulsion systems in ships types and designs,  as well as the size and scope of ports must be thoroughly examined, addressed and appropriately implemented so we can avoid loss of life, accidents and damages to ports, loss of revenue, but above all: proper Ports and Terminals will ensure further development, and creation of jobs – a must to do! Petty party politics destroy the ports issue in Greece; enough!

Viewers can see herebelow in the video taken by Konstantinos Milt. Anagnostou  a few days ago which show the perfect maneuvers of a big ferry/passenger/roro  vessel, the “Nissos Rodos”  of Hellenic Seaways at the port of Chios.

We leave the comments to you and we look forward receiving same, make them public and see how the EU’s funds are appropriately allocated for improving the ports to the benefit of all stake-holders. A level playing field is another must on the issue. With the Greek snap elections to the fore, lets see what the political parties have to say.

We in turn have numerous times expressed our views for the particular port and what must be done in Chios (ports, terminal  -both for cruise-ships, marinas, bunkering terminal).
