Hamburg,  29 September 2015. E.R. Schiffahrt has won the tender by Danish ship management company Maersk Line to manage six container ships between 2, 500 TEU and 11, 000 TEU. All of the vessels – three sub-Panamax and three post-Panamax units – will switch to being managed by E.R. Schiffahrt this year. The contract will initially run for five years and includes their crewing and technical operation, as well as measures relating to security, environmental protection and energy efficiency.

With the successful development of third-party ship management, E.R. Schiffahrt is underscoring its realignment as an international ship manager. Maersk Line was convinced by the company’s key performance indicators and transparency. E.R. Schiffahrt is in the top quartile of Maersk’s in-house benchmark system MSPS.

Isabelle Rickmers, E.R. Schiffahrt management board member and head of new business, underlines the significance for the company: ‘This management mandate from Maersk Line confirms to us that we are on the right path. At the same time, it inspires us to demonstrate our performance on a daily basis and to continue to optimise it. We see our customers as our partners. Their requirements and needs are our main focus. With Maersk Line, we now have a strong customer at our side and look forward to a successful partnership.’
