In September 2015, maritime technology company Transas announced that it had appointed Frank Coles, the former president of Inmarsat Maritime and CEO of Globe Wireless, as its new CEO.

Ship Efficiency Review was first in line to put Coles under the spotlight, the mission being to ascertain what the industry should expect from him within his new role and also from Transas under his navigation.
