Repair works for cable landing point at North Point

With immediate effect and for a period of approximately one month, repair works will be carried out within the area bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates from (A) to (D) and the adjacent shoreline:(A) 22 deg. 17.600’ N / 114 deg. 12.011’ E(B) 22 deg. 17.608’ N / 114 deg. 12.009’ E

(C) 22 deg. 17.613’ N / 114 deg. 12.033’ E

(D) 22 deg. 17.605’ N / 114 deg. 12.035’ E

The works will be carried out by a work boat. A working area of approximately 15 metres around the work boat will be established. The hours of work will be from 0800 to 1700 hours. No works will be carried out on Sundays and Public Holidays. The vessel employed for the works will not stay in the works area outside the hours of work.

Diving operations will be carried out from time to time during the hours of work.

The vessel engaged in the works will display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations.

Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution, bearing in mind there are divers working in the area.

Yacht races between Hong Kong & Macau

About 30 sailing boats will take part in yacht races between Hong Kong and Macau will take place on 16 September 2016 (Friday) and 18 September 2016 (Sunday).The outbound trip from Hong Kong to Macau will start at 1000 hours on 16 September 2016 in an area south-east of Lamma Island (in the vicinity of Yuen Kok Light). Depending on the weather condition, it will follow:Course 1 – a westerly route through south of Lamma Island, south of Tai A Chau, thence to Macau if the wind is coming from the north, or

Course 2 – a south-westerly route through the southern Boundary of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, then to Macau if the wind is coming from the south.

The return trip from Macau to Hong Kong will start at 1000 hours on 18 September 2016 and will follow:

Course 1 – a route through south of Tai A Chau and to complete the race at a position east of Cheung Chau if the wind is coming from the north, or

Course 2 – a route through south of Xiaozhi Zhou, the southern Boundary of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and to complete the race at a position east of Cheung Chau if the wind is coming from the south.

Masters, coxswains and persons-in-charge of vessels navigating in the vicinity of the race routes should proceed with caution, giving practical consideration to the contestants. Compliance with the provisions of the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea 1972 is mandatory.

Eid Al Adha Public Holiday

The Administrative Offices at Jebel Ali Port and Mina Rashid will be closed for four days from Sunday 11 September to Wednesday 14 September 2016. Regular working hours will resume on Thursday 15 September.Container Terminals will be closed from 0400 hours to 0900 hours on first day of Eid, after 0900 hours the operations will resume as normal.The GC Vessel operations will be ceased on the first day of Eid from 0400 till 0900 hrs. Overtime charges as per public holiday rates are applicable from 0001 hrs on the Eid day.

Cargo receiving, delivery of local trucks and operations at CFS facility will be closed during Eid but services can be provided upon request with prior notice.

Cold Store and Cool Store, receiving/delivery of local trucks will remain closed and will resume operations at 0700 hrs on the second day of Eid. Overtime charges apply during this time.

Transport & Distribution operations will be closed from 0400 hours to 0900 hours on first day of Eid, resuming after 0900 hours as normal.

Eid-el-Kabir Public Holiday
