HELMEPA, responding positively to the invitation of the Directorates of Primary and Secondary Education of Piraeus, is moving its “Educational Community and Public Awareness Campaign on the Marine Environment, Shipping and Sciences” to the island of Poros.

This initiative is supported by Lloyd’s Register Foundation (LRF) and has already visited 21 Greek towns and cities since 2011, mobilising more than 22,000 students and 1,600 teachers.

Besides raising awareness among schoolchildren and teachers of the Greek periphery on the themes of the Campaign, the aim of this initiative is also to inspire children to learn more about science, engineering and new technologies in the service of the environment and humanity.MarineEnvironment

On the island of Poros, under the auspices of the local Municipality, the Campaign’s environmental Exhibition will be hosted at Syggrou Municipal Hall from 15 to 29 November 2016.
