Capt. Antonio M. Padrón with the Captains Sören Engzell and Stefan Siwek, together with Ms. Cheyenne Méndez, representative of Grupo STIER and the 6 Cadets on board the Training Ship ÄLVA

Capt. Antonio M. Padrón y Santiago, “IMO Maritime Ambassador” and Maritime Authority of Tenerife, held a meeting with the Cadets on board the Training Ship ÄLVA (Sweden), with the purpose of carrying out their training period at sea

Thanks to the intervention of the STIER Group, specialized in the agency of large sailing vessels, as well as the entities MARINA LÄROVERKET and KLART SKEPP, integrated in the Maritime Institute of Stocksund (Stockholm, Sweden), a group of 6 Maritime Cadets embarked aboard the Training Ship ÄLVA, in order to complete their compulsory training period at sea, carrying out a series of navigations through several European ports.

This initiative, which will be repeated with more students, is part of the “Boarding Program for Maritime Cadets”, created by the IMO Maritime Ambassador.
