Public services to close for National Holiday

Most public services in Ecuador will be closed on Monday 9 October, due to a National Holiday. Ports and terminals, however, will work normally.

Vessel blackout
Wednesday, October 4, 2017, Suez Canal, Egypt
As per available information from the Suez Canal Authority, a 11,488DWT bulk carrier ship with draft of about 14.5 metres (even keel) experienced a blackout during its transit of the Canal today (4 October).

The blackout occurred at about 12.09 hours local time at 67 KM. The vessel was Number 16 in the Southbound Convoy.

No Southbound or Northbound convoy vessels were affected by the incident. Suez Canal tugs were engaged immediately and escorted the ship to Bitter Lakes (Ismailia).

No reports of damages have been released, and there are no delays for today’s Southbound and Northbound convoys.
