Seawall reinstatement works at Lei Yue Mun

For approximately 5 months, seawall reinstatement works will be carried out in the following areas at Lei Yue Mun.

WORKS AREA 1:
This area is bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (D):
(A) 22 deg. 17.263’N / 114 deg. 14.242’E
(B) 22 deg. 17.248’N / 114 deg. 14.264’E
(C) 22 deg. 17.234’N / 114 deg. 14.253’E
(D) 22 deg. 17.249’N / 114 deg. 14.231’E

WORKS AREA 2:
This area is bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (E) to (H):
(E) 22 deg. 17.209’N / 114 deg. 14.323’E
(F) 22 deg. 17.186’N / 114 deg. 14.377’E
(G) 22 deg. 17.173’N / 114 deg. 14.371’E
(H) 22 deg. 17.196’N / 114 deg. 14.317’E

WORKS AREA 3:
This area is bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (I) to (L) and the adjacent shoreline:
(I) 22 deg. 17.149’N / 114 deg. 14.503’E
(J) 22 deg. 17.125’N / 114 deg. 14.496’E
(K) 22 deg. 17.154’N / 114 deg. 14.390’E
(L) 22 deg. 17.177’N / 114 deg. 14.397’E

The works will be carried out by one derrick lighter. One tugboat and one work boat will provide assistance.

A working area of approximately 15 metres around the lighter will be established. Yellow marker buoys fitted with yellow flashing lights will be laid to mark the positions of the anchors extending from the lighter.

The hours of work will be from 0700 to 1900 hours. Vessels employed for the works will not stay in the works area outside the hours of work.

Vessels engaged in the operations will display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations.

Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution.

Trimming of underwater high spots south of Shek Kwu Chau

For approximately 3 months, trimming operations for underwater high spots will be carried out in the area bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (F):
(A) 22 deg. 09.489’N / 113 deg. 59.172’E
(B) 22 deg. 09.489’N / 113 deg. 59.521’E
(C) 22 deg. 09.272’N / 113 deg. 59.521’E
(D) 22 deg. 09.272’N / 113 deg. 59.056’E
(E) 22 deg. 09.380’N / 113 deg. 59.056’E
(F) 22 deg. 09.380’N / 113 deg. 59.172’EThe works will be carried out by one crane barge. One hopper barge, one work boat and two tugboats will provide assistance. The number of vessels engaged in the works will change from time to time to suit operational requirements.

A working area of approximately 50 metres will be established around the crane barge and hopper barge. Yellow marker buoys fitted with yellow flashing lights will be laid to mark the positions of the anchors extending from the crane barge and hopper barge.

The hours of work will be from 0700 to 1900 hours. No works will be carried out on Sundays and public holidays. Vessels employed for the works will stay in the works area outside the hours of work.

Silt curtains will be established within the works area. A silt curtain is a large piece of netting used to contain mud and sediments.

Vessels engaged in the operations will display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations.

Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution, bearing in mind the changing depths in the works area.

Tankers facing berthing delays

Due to port congestion and bad weather at Dongying port, tankers calling at Dongying Zhonghaiyou terminal(CNOOC terminal) are facing a waiting time of around two weeks for berthing to discharge crude oil.

Oilfields services terminal at Mina free port
Tuesday, December 12, 2017, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
Allianz Gulf Oilfields Services has leased berth 6, 7, 8 & 9 at Mina free port from ADP and have set up their terminal for receiving chemicals.

Terminal Info:
– Terminal will be operated by Allianz.
– No. of tanks: 24.
– Capacity: 1,300 Bbls per tank (Total Capacity 31,200 Bbls).
– Mode of discharges from vessel to shore tank via pipeline.
– Pipe line connection size: 6 Inch.
– Discharge rate 700 bbl / hour.
– Max arrival draft at berth: 7.00 Meters.
– Cargo: Base Oil (Drilling fluid).
– Drilling fluid received are stored and then later loaded on to off-shore supply vessels for delivery at various ADNOC offshore fields.
