Changes to mooring procedure
Tuesday, December 26, 2017, Novorossiysk, Russia
Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port, and in particular, Oil Terminal “Sheskharis”, IPP, Fuel oil Terminals and NLE are planning to implement a new procedure for mooring/unmooring operations from 1 January 2018.

The terminals want to send their own representatives – so called Mooring Masters – on board of each ship to ensure safe berthing/unberthing operations. Mooring Master must board the ships together with pilot and supervise mooring/unmooring. They will be authorized to stop operations and maneuvering, in case it is deemed unsafe.
