In New Year’s Eve an old tradition is revived in the island of Chios, Greece, in the eastern Aegean Sea.

Groups of children and teenagers, who have constructed a model war ship, gather at the town square and sing the New Year’s traditional carols. Maritime Tradition at its best!

P.S.: With thanks to Konstantinos Milt. Anagnostou for yet another excellent video and his support in promoting Maritime History and Traditions, Seamanship as well as Maritime Education and Training, issues that we strongly support!
