Namegiving ceremony held in Novorossiysk for three Damen ASD 2310 tugs of Delo Service co

On 19 January 2018, Delo Group hosted a namegiving ceremony in Novorossiysk for three multifunctional Damen ASD 2310 tugboats. The tugs named Delovoy-1, Delovoy-2 and Delovoy-3 have entered service with the fleet of Delo Service Company LLC. As Delo Group told IAA PortNews, the ship naming ceremony was held by His Grace Feognost, Bishop of Novorossiysk and Gelendzhik.

Victoria Kalinina, Anna Vyakhireva and Yekaterina Ilyina, best handball players of women’s national team, served as godmothers.

Oleg Nechayev, Director General of Delo Service Company LLC, said at the ceremony that Delo Group the new ships delivery is the first step of its development programme.

“The short-term plans of Delo Group include the creation of an in-house towing division, construction of a container berth (Berth No 38) at NUTEP terminal, as well as expanding the capacity of KSK Grain Terminal and works have been underway. We are very glad to have the tugs built and delivered by Damen. Strict compliance with deadlines on construction and delivery to the Port of Novorossiysk allows us to start mooring operations at our terminals within the minimum period of time”, Oleg Nechayev was quoted as saying.

All the three sister tugs can be deployed for operations in the harbour, for nearshore and offshore mooring and towing. The ASD 2310 Delovoy-3 features firefighting equipment with FF3WS class notation. The forth tugboat, the Delovoy-4, which has been laid down at a Damen shipyard, will have the same characteristics. The ship delivery is scheduled for November 2018.
