The BDI …back @1,095 points… so did the DJIA with a swift rebound…

The BDI (Baltic Dry Index) thanks to the as ever volatile Capers now reads 1,095 points… Geopolitics continue to get worse; John Faraclas’ daily briefing:

The BDI gained the 13 points lost yesterday but generally speaking the entire dire market remains down. Be braced for an unthinkable thinkable future for which many times we have warned you. It’s fist step being: Shipping for the very very very few”

The Capers managed to bounce back with 86 points and the BCI now reads 1,519 points…

The Panamaxes’ BPI fall was worse than yesterday’s 20 points; 23 points down today and the respective index now stands at 1,316… CAUTION!

Both the Supras and the Handies lost ground; the BSI was down eight point to 857 and the BHSI was down five to 538 respectively…

One size, as numerous times explained, DOESN’T constitute a market…

The Wets in the same mode, still low; the last BDTI (Dirties) and BCTI (Cleans) stood at 654 – minus four and 606 – no change respectively.

More orders for newbuildings can be confirmed, not so much scrapping and this will put pressure to all, but we reiterate the view that this is more than a free economy, so do your calculations… and obviously your projections!

The WTI is about to close near the US$ 63,35 or so mark…and that’s good going down, but… yesterday it stood close to US$ 64.10

The Dow Jones Industrial Average managed to reverse the tide… and now stands at 24,912 points. Both the FTSE and DAX were down 2,64  and 2,32 centum respectively – more or less all Stock Exchanges experienced one way or another yesterday’s fall… Who gained and who lost…? What’s up next? CAUTION!

The Geopolitical situation coupled with the worse ever economic environment gets even worse; this is the harsh reality, the rest is just froth… Politicians MUST tell the truth to the public… as we are at WAR; is it WWIII??

Too many scandals around and we eagerly await to see the outcome on the Novartis saga, particularly down in Greece. Expect many surprises… Indeed we expect to see how transparent are the funds arriving all these years from the former Iron Curtain in many western financial centres… Dora Bakoyannis, an MP from the opposition ND party  in Greece was speaking earlier on tonight at the LSE on  “An insider’s view on the refugee crisis event”; will revert with a briefing… MIGRANTS, MIGRANTS, poor MIGRANTS everywhere… The most important issue from all. CAUTION…

On another note, The Queen is marking 66 years on the throne and she is the longest-reigning sovereign in British history; she became Queen on February 6 1952 on the death of King George VI. In midday, we attended  this special day which was marked with a 41-gun salute by the Kings Troop Royal Horse Artillery in London’s Green Park. Tradition and discipline at its best.

That’s all for now and continue to be on guard from any eventuality emanating from Pirates and Terrorists wherever you are on Planet Ocean!
