The BDI (Baltic Dry Index) gained four points thanks to the Supras and Handies …and a bit to the Capers…Geopolitics as always chaotic. We observe ultra-caution! John Faraclas brief market report:

The Capers managed to clinch eight points and the BCI now reads 1,568 points…

The Panamaxes lost eight points with the BPI standing at 1,505 points.

Double digits plus for the Supras and Handies; the BSi and BHSI stood at 992 – up 19 and 579 – up 22 points!

Same picture as per yesterday with the Wets; the last published BDTI (Dirties) and BCTI (Cleans) stood at 658 – no change from yesterday and  622 – plus one respectively.

The WTI fell a bit and as these lines are being written stands at US$ 61.34; caution!

Wall Street in red…

The Geopolitics are getting worse and Putin’s Russia is on the offensive; wonder the counter from president Trump… Casper’s cartoons were invisible too; caution!

MIGRANTS multiply, the BREXIT issue becomes more than a serious issue for all and the border saga with Northern Ireland will be a tough one; Erdogan’s Turkey might create upheavals in its wider periphery and Greece has a task to fulfil! Within Greece prime minister Tsipras must give an end here and now to the vandals madness destroying Athens-by-night  and by-day who continue to go scot-free; the Mayor of Athens, a former  ombudsman has already spelled it out: the ball is in Mr. Tsirpas’ court! The latest government reshuffle won’t really change anything. Our …verdict: all change please! Still awaiting the new German government. In the meantime wonder how Mrs. Merkel  tackles the ongoing cyber attack on government IT network… it can happen, and already has happened to many governments; the preamble of a modern warfare…  Berlusconi might be the decisive person in Italy’s modern elections and history; we shall see… President Trump might signal a new trade war; how will China and Canada respond given the fact that he might impose steep tariffs on steel and aluminium imports net week…?

More news soon.

Mind the weather as here in the British Isles we are experiencing a unique weather situ. The weather also creates havoc in the high street with fall in the sales and many jobs at stake, needless to say the havoc in the entire European Continent prompting us to stress the immediate need to improve the entire intermodal’s chain components!! Transport in a mess!

On another tone a very special Woman’s Day is coming up in Greece on the 8th of March; log here and wholeheartedly support it!

Have a nice evening and be on guard from any eventuality emanating from Pirates and Terrorists looming in the background wherever you are on Planet Ocean… Mind the Ides of March; history repeats itself!
