The BDI was down ten points earlier on today at 1,169 posing dangers, but it is still good for the very very very few! Geopolitics going off hand and more trouble-spots and regions appear with any kind of problem you can imagine; John Faraclas’ midweek recap:

The Capers lost 50 points and the BCI now stands at 1,312 points; ultra-caution should be observed!

The Panamaxes’ drop “ended” with the BPI ending the day at 1,623 – no change since yesterday.

The Supras and the Handies on an upwards mode; the BSI gained a dozen points and now reads 1,061 points whilst the BHSI was also up – five points plus are five points up and now it reads 622…

The Wets were both on a falling mode; the last published BDTI (Dirties) and BCTI (Cleans) stood at 642 and 567 – that is minus six and minus ten pints respectively…

The WTI ended the day at a fraction below the US$61 – actually US$ 60.95… Still, one has to be cautious as we might see strange events and prices developing…

The Geopolitical front not only maintains its messy character, is getting far worse:

The MIGRANTS on top of the list; by far the most crucial issue!

The Wars in Syria and Iraq with everybody’s involvement is in our humble view the preamble of the Third World War; any objection?

Turkey continues to stir-up the waters… CAUTION as the end here is nigh…

Greece in yet another melle …

The United Kingdom and Russia are locked in a dangerous encounter and, as said the other day, Mrs. May has spell it out…

Germany finally has a government and Mrs Merkel was sworn-in for a fifth term. Let’s see her vision to offer positions to the youngsters pays-off!

At the other side of the Atlantic president Trump has a Hercoulean task both within the US and abroad…

A bit of a worrying situation in Panama given a social upturn there; we hope all will calm down!

Many positive signs and views as well as complaints were aired in Athens during TheSeanation’s Conference ” The Global Impact of Shipping” at the Evgenidion Foundation; will revert as said in the opening with a full account!

Margarita Mavromichalis speaking to guests

On another note and tone, a unique exhibition took place earlier on tonight at the Sofia Gallery – the Bulgarian Cultural Institute in London. Titled “Muses and Makers” with guests viewing excellent photography and paintings by three female artists; Christine Bory, Margarita Mavromichalis and Sellvida-Silviya Georgieva, this private viewing become already the talk of the town. We also were privileged to listen to a sort but to the point  speech by Gabriella Abado, the deputy director general of ICMPD in Vienna on the Migration… Ms Bory’s portraits indeed were inspiring; Ms Geogieva’s paintings with an exceptional technotropy and Ms Mavromichalis’ black and white photos on the Migrants at the Island of Lesvos more than moving; life and death hand by hand… We will revert soon with a full report.

Have a nice evening and be on guard for every eventuality emanating from Pirates and Terrorists wherever you are on Planet Ocean.
