Capt. Antonio M. Padrón, IMO Maritime Ambassador, held a meeting with representatives of the City-Port Cohesion Factory (FACOCIP) in order to participate in the “Sea of Opportunities” Project

During the meeting, the need to bring to the youth the benefits of the maritime sector was highlighted and new ideas for collaborations between the IMO Maritime Ambassador and FACOCIP in this matter have been outlined.

Thus, within the framework of the SEA OF OPPORTUNITIES Project, which covers various actions, the IMO Maritime Ambassador will participate in the “Santacruceros Festival”, the cultural events of “Navegarte” and the “Port Employment Fair”.

On the other hand, Capt. Antonio M. Padrón requested the collaboration of this dynamic team of young entrepreneurs to launch a series of new projects that aim to bring young people to the knowledge of the maritime sector, among which is the “ADOPT A SHIP” Program, were other IMO Maritime Ambassadors are already participating and which will establish direct links between schools, students, ships and shipping companies.
