As expected the BDI has fallen to a dangerous level; at 1,015 pauses grave dangers. Geopolitics competes too in creating mess in the markets and Peace. Our title is on purpose a promising one, an optimistic so to speak, despite the harsh reality but there is hope, hope unfortunately for the very very very few. John Faraclas’ daily recap:

The BDI (Baltic Dry Index) lost 39 points and at 1,016 meets the tsunami effect… Let us hope NOT! If tomorrow the BDI losses 16 points our triple-digit messy number will make things worse for the hoi polloi. The harsh reality if you dare do a reality check is that the BDI is down 1,232 points from the December 2013 closing!!!! (2,24 – 1,015= 1,232). Wake up!

The Capers lost 86 points and the BCI lost its 1,000-point threshold; at 924 owners begin to feel uncomfortable. Again, let’s hope that the Easter break – which this year is an extended one, doesn’t bring further bad news…

The Panamaxes’ BPI was down 40 points and now stands at 1,455…

The Supras’ BSI was also down 13 points at 1,067 points and the

Handies’ BHSI was also down, but minimal. At 650 – minus two points still makes waves… but the end is nigh here soon…

The Wets on a minor but falling mode; the last published BDTI (Dirties) and BCTI (Cleans) stood at 661 and 560 points – one and three points down respectively…

Just to …wind you up: what happened to the Chinese Dog? No barking, eh?

The WTI although it is …early days… err hours, remains at US$ 63.15; might go higher, but… in any event we maintain the view that same must be not a nickel over the US$ 50.00 (fifty dollars) mark as otherwise poverty matters and revolts might happen…

The Trade War so to speak is on and will escalate. Those with sustainable resources and economy might go ahead… We guarantee you that same will be worse than the Cold War of the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s period given the coming Hot War on many issues and regions making the intermodal chain difficult to function.-  we are not fortune tellers but realists and our truck record is second to none!

The Geopolitical situation in all fronts now is critical and at any moment the shit will hit the fan… Expect a conflagration in the entire Balkans and Eastern Med / Black Sea region with incalculable repercussions for all involved. Add the financial discontent in a bankrupt world and see what you ae going to experience. The dice is cast, end of the story!

Will revert with more news later on and we warn you to be on guard from Pirates, Terrorists, Burglars and Criminals as well as from silly politicians wolrdwide who cannot impose Law and Order; shame!
