The BDI (Baltic Dry Index) gained three points and now stands at 1,390 thanks to the Supras and Handies. Geopolitical turbulences will re-appear in the Balkans and beyond; add the mess all over Planet Ocean and see what you might get – sooner or later… John Faraclas daily brief:

The Capes’ and Panamaxes’ indices mirror the market uncertainty with 23 points minus and plus respectively – the BCI at 2,068 and the BPI at 1,474…

The BSI and BHSI gained six and two points and now read 1,084 and 588 respectively…

So all in all once again we witness an enigmatic market!

The Wets continue to be ALSO unpredictable; the last published BDTI (Dirties) and BCTI (Cleans)  stood at 746 – plus 12 and 525 – minus six respectively…

The WTI stands at US$ 66.30- might rise a bit but still in a messy situation and with Geopolitics to the fore expect surprises both ends …pricewise!

The geopolitics are marked with the MIGRANTS – President Macron plays his humanitarian card given the Italian refusal for the “Aquarious” to dock in… Malta yok, Spain will “take” them; USA – North Korean “agreement” is the talk everywhere – let’s see how same works…; the Balkans re-surfaced issue on the name etc etc of fYroM and beyond  Greece is at the center of all these; everything goes via Athens, NATO and EU application and entry …– Albania, Kosovo…might experience issues; expect heavy turbulence there too…; the post G7 meeting… Be on guard for developments… Turkey is in a financial mess as well as one must not rule out any of Erdogan’s survival tricks… The double election and Turkey’s pestering attitude  against all of its neighbours might produce tsunamis… The Syrian inferno continues… Saudi Arabia and Yemen crisis might reach a climax…The BREXIT course continues… The ICC (International Criminal Court) judges have ordered the release of former Democratic Republic of Congo rebel leader and Vice-President Jean-Pierre Bemba…  His 2016 conviction was on charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity… Finally let’s see what president Putin has in mind… on all Geopolitical issues… Never rule out Japan…

Mind the trade wars…

Have a nice evening and be on guard from any eventuality emanating from Pirates, Terrorists and Criminals of any kind wherever you are on Planet Ocean…

P.S. Get ready for Posidonia 2020!
