WORLD ECONOMIC & MARKET DEVELOPMENTS

GLOBAL MARKETS: The EUR rose for a second day in a row on Friday on the back of eased trade tensions between the United States and China in view of the scheduled new round of trade talks on 21-22 August.

GREECE: According to the Public Debt Management Agency quarterly bulletin for public debt, in end-June 2018 central government debt stood at EUR345,379.43 million up from EUR343,740.14 million in end-March 2018. Cash reserves for the said period amounted to EUR13,082.8 million against EUR12,328.6 million in end-Q1 2018.
