Capes disaster amid …disastrous geopolitics

The BDI lost another six points earlier on today and at 683 sends out another Mayday… Geopolitics with the BREXIT jargon gets seriously perplexed. John Faraclas’ brief daily recap:

The Capes’ BCI lost the 200 points-threshold and now reads 190!!! points – minus 40 since yesterday. Things are getting off hand. For how long this situ is gone to last? What are the consequences..?

The Panamaxes’ BPI managed well yet again  – with a modest 17 points plus for the tough times we live in these low markets and now read 1,053…

Nothing spectacular for the Supras and the Handies. The BSI stood at 833 – plus three points and the BHSI at  463 – plus five points…

The gap becomes serious as we are apart 1,564 points from the end of December 2013 when the BDI stood at 2,247 points… Never ever forget this “calculation” and position- a harsh reality

The Wets are about to read the same; the last published BDTI (Dirties) and BCTI (Cleans)  stood at 688 – minus seven and 684 – plus 15 points respectively…

The WTI stood at US$ 59.88 – still very high…

Strange oil markets with Venezuela losing grounds, India showing preferences and president Trump maintains sanctions… wonder what’s going to happen in Venezuela. Can America (The USA)  let a mess close to its zone of ultra-influence?

The Geopolitics are getting the effects of whatever the BREXIT could lead to… The MP’s wishing to take the BREXIT saga in their hands they will also have to bear the responsibility  stemming out of the actions they vote for of what might happen and they must be successful in doing so otherwise… Mrs. May is doing her best but there is something odd about all this BREXIT palaver…  Wonder who’s playing with fire… We might soon smell the “burnt” corps… Did I hear you say Norwegian Wood..? – What the Norwegian relationship with the EU can teach us…

Shame for all involved at both sides of the British Channel…

Europe, I mean Continental Europe is in its entirety in a big financial mess. Whatever the BREXIT I have the sinking feeling that it’s the Continentals to suffer in the long run… Time will tell!

The Balkans still in mess…

The Eastern Med and the entire Middle East is on fire… The drums of War can be heard… Turkey is pushing and provoking all in the region… CAUTION! CAUTION as firing rockets against Israel will soon bring back the wrath of Israeli retaliation like the recent one… Expect escalation in the entire region…

In northern Africa now: Algeria might produce some troubles as President Abdelaziz Bouteflika looks like being unfit to rule after weeks of protests against him. CAUTION as the fault line which have referred to many time before from Gib to Afghanistan and from the Caucuses to the Horn of Africa continues to be on fire which might spread / spill over to many regions and countries…

Mind the aftermath in Syria and Iraq with the remnants of the ISIS lot and the Kurds…

At the other side of the Atlantic in the USA US$ 1 billion was transferred  for border wall “emergency”… What a determination for president Trump to bypass Congress! USA- Mexican affairs might see producers making new films…  “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly wall…” – how about that, eh!

Never forget that Planet Ocean’s debt stands at US$ 250 trillion… and everything is possible… NPL’s is the name of the game and nothing can absorb them unless we write them off once and for all… Can be do it?  We are living in interesting times…

That’s all for tonight and continue to be on guard from actions emanating by Pirates, Terrorists, Criminals and Business Hooligans whatsoever wherever you are on Planet Ocean…
