Panamaxes’ four aces lift the Market’s  “spirit” further…

The BDI  (Baltic Dry Index) gained earlier on today 19 points and now stands at 1,258!  Geopolitics deteriorating further in all fronts; John Faraclas’ brief daily recap:

The Capes with a double digit rise following the triple digits ones last week now read 2,363 – up 85 points!

As indicated in the title of the recap, the four aces by the Panamaxes BPI now 1,111 is more than good news following many days of falling to “abyss”; these 15 points plus was indeed manna of havens… Let’s hope that our most favourable size returns to the good and stable days we know…

The Supras’ BSI  was up five points to 756…

Two good points plus for the Handies’ BHSI now at 442!

Mixed feelings for the Wets; the last published BDTI (Dirties) and BCTI (Cleans) stood at 679 – minus two and 510 – plus five points respectively…

The WTI rose a bit .43 cents to US$ 57.90 from US$ 57.43 on the 21st of June (last Friday)… CAUTION before the economy on Planet Ocean gets completely derailed…

Geopolitics are dangerously worsening in all fronts and lets see the G20 meetings what results delivers as US president Trump will continue to put America First in all sectors, even on defence…

On another tone and note a unique Press Conference on LISW2019 took place earlier on today on board HMS Enterprise at the Canary Wharf Dock / South Quay.

A dozen or so members of the international press and media were there to listen to Lord Mountevans, chairman of the London International Shipping Week 2019 Board of Advisors, the very eloquent Ben Murray, director of Maritime UK and Chris Shirling-Rooke CEO of Mersey Maritime.

Many Congratulations to Sean Moloney of Elaborate Communications and director of Shipping Innovation as well as his team – Lisa Jacobs and Polly Goddard-Ellison for staging this unique event at a very unique place too. Many many thanks and congratulations to the Royal Navy for offering the best venue so far to match this forthcoming event! Excellent!

That’s all for tonight; have a nice evening and remain on guard from actions emanating by Pirates, Terrorists, Criminals and Business Hooligans whatsoever wherever you are on Planet Ocean!
