LISW19 CONFERENCE

Whatever your plans for LISW19, do not miss the LISW Headline Conference on Thursday 12 September at the Grosvenor House Hotel. The combination of a remarkable line up of internationally renowned speakers and one of the strongest VIP lists ever assembled for a shipping conference, provides a perfect forum for the highest level engagement and industry networking.

The theme, International Trade in a Changing World, could not be more appropriate as the Conference considers global economic pressures, protectionism, Brexit, technology, regulations, the environment and their potential impact upon the maritime industry.

It will look at the trade tensions between the US, China and Europe and ask if these signal the end of the rules-based liberal economic order. Is there an inherent tension between globalisation and inequality propagating the rise of the far left and right around the world?

The Conference will analyse the current status of international trade, its potential changes, and whether rhetoric matches the reality. And it will seek to plot the challenges and opportunities that will emerge for global shipping.
