The BDI down at 2,422 amid Planet Ocean’s perplexed geopolitics with LISW2019 best ever start!

The BDI (Baltic Dry Index) lost 40 points earlier on today signalling unsustainability which only time will tell. Geopolitics messy as ever and London International Shipping Week had its best ever start! John Faraclas’ daily brief recap:

Be CAUTIOUS over the Dry and Wet Markets as both fell… and we don’t like to see an uncharted waters situation..

The BCI was down 105 points at 4,844 – Capes shake again the markets

The Panamaxes’ BPI was also down at 2,191 – minus 25 points…

The Supras’ BSI lost eight points and now stands at 1,330…

The Handies “saved” the day with the BHSI up one at 690!!!!

The Wets in low levels; the last published BDTI and BCTI stood at 685  plus two and 459 no change respectively…

The WTI was up US$ 1,33 at US$ 57.85…

Be ready and prepared for despicable issues affecting all sectors and Shipping in particular vis-a-vis Geopolitics.

LISW 2019 had its best ever start with a few dozen of events spread over the Square Mile; our team managed to attend four great events but missed two due to a software error… Mea Culpa of course…

The Bureau Veritas event, WISTAs-five hours spectacular with women’s power at its best, the London Shipping Law Centre with BIMCO event at Clarksons Platou …pulman-like auditorium and the unique SPNL reception awards evening at the Hispania will be soon up with details.

Have a nice evening and remain on guard from actions emanating from Pirates, Terrorists, Criminals and Business Hooligans whatsoever wherever you ae on Planet Ocean!!
